The Tioga County Teacher Center is located in the Nichols Elementary School in the picturesque Susquehanna River Valley of the Southern Tier of New York State.  Our two satellite offices are located in Candor High School and Newark Valley High School.

The Center provides services for the Candor Central School District, the Newark Valley Central School District, the Tioga Central School District and the Tioga Center Christian School.

The goal of the Center is to create a sense of ownership among the teachers and staff of the schools served by providing high quality professional development opportunities that serve the needs and concerns expressed by consortium teachers.  The Center offers professional development that is site, grade and/or curriculum specific, along with offering conference and special teaching grants and study group opportunities.

The mission of the Tioga County Teacher Center is to build, at the local level, the professional capacity of teachers and other members of the learning community to improve student learning.
